Would you like to earn an associate’s degree from the comfort of your own home? Does your work schedule prevent you from taking classes at your local community college? Are you a person who works best in the middle of the night? Edison’s new online degree program may be just the program for you.

The online degree in Office Systems & Administration/Medical Office Support will prepare you for an office career in a busy medical office, clinic, after-hours facility, nursing home, or hospital. You will learn medical terminology, medical transcription, medical office procedures, and medical billing and coding. You will also study records management, human behavior, accounting, communication, and computer technology. This program will incorporate cross-curricular courses to enhance learning and relativity. In addition, you will proceed through the program with a cohort of students with similar interests and goals. Edison Community College resources will be available to you online as well, including library access and academic advising.
 
The first cohort of online degree students began classes on August 23, 2004.  Your interest form will be kept on file for consideration until the selection of the next cohort to begin classes in August 2007.  Please be aware that preference will be given to full-time students who have met the math and English prerequisites.
